ABS pump replacement.
I may have to have my ABS pump replaced as it's showing that it's faulty on T4.
My question is, my car is diesel non traction control, Unit Type Mymber 25098: Munufacturers Part Number 0265800006: Rover Part Number 101145: can I fit an ABS pump from a v6 auto or from any other 75/ZT provided the 0265800006 number is the same. Looking on eBay, not always correct I know, the implication is that I can. Would somebody confirm this or tell that I must get a diesel one, as I've been offered on from a v6 auto non traction control. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks. Martyn |

There are different part numbers but I have successfully fitted a diesel unit to a 1.8 petrol 75 without any issues

Thanks for the reply, by the same token the reverse should be ok.
It's just that I've been offered one from a v6 as I said, hopefully some more relies will come to really verify things, although I don't doubt your reply for one minute. Martyn |

The CDT has at least two different PAS pumps - a Delphi (QVB00330 as fitted to mine) and a HA (half alloy, half steel body).
Interestingly, none of the 75/ZT part numbers matches yours (I assume the 101145 is a QVB101145), which may indicate that someone has previously replaced the pump with a non-original. Why not choose the correct part number from Rimmers based on VIN and buy from them or see if you can buy a reconditioned item? For me, stereing is quite an important feature of the car on which to try out parts interchange. When the pump on mine developed a slight leak, I replaced with a new and correct Delphi item. I ask about others that may fit from 1.8 or v6 as I'm led to believe they may well fit but am seeking further confirmation as to whether this is true or not, other types may well need configuring on a T4. Whilst I'm not advocating short cuts, especially where brakes are concerned, I wish to keep the cost down as the car has cost quite a bit of money lately and Rimmers prices & postage are not cheap, I'm aware it's a gamble using second hand parts but that's the chance I may well have to take otherwise it's another car going to the scrappy. Sadly patience is running very thin with it at the moment. Thanks, Martyn |
