Default gonzo34 - my brother Paul

Hi everyone, a lot of people won't know my brother, because he's a bit of a tech phobe, and although a member, he hasn't posted a lot. He has met Steve (Arctic), Animal and a few others at the Nanos.

A few weeks ago before the last Nano he started not feeling well and after awhile he went to the doctors, then a walk in center, and finally the hospital. They all told him to go home, it was a tummy bug.

Last Friday, he collapsed and was taken to Derby Royal, where he underwent emergency surgery. On Monday, they gave us the heartbreaking news that he has inoperable cancer. They won't know until they get the biopsy results if they can buy him any time or not.

I am devastated, he is my only sibling, and only family member left bar my mum - who after a fall in March (right after my own operation) has developed dementia.

Paul has asked me to post this, to let those who do know him know why he has not been to Nanos, and not been around.

I am beyond devastated.

I don't know what to say Dawn, you have had so much bad luck of late. It is easy for me to say but be brave and be there for your brother in his hour of need.
