Off down South today for John's funeral tomorrow, another lovely man who will be sadly missed, a true gentleman.

Hi Thomas,

Sounds like good idea, I think it would have to held at the Nationals, because our members are scattered all over the country, it would not be possible to include them all at one meet,

Hi Thomas

Thank you for those considerate thoughts.

I know of 2 meets which are dedicated to their memory:

Tam Leek Meet (Rotrex) RIP at The Hawes Inn South Queensferry

Michael Sheppard (Woof25) RIP Mikes Meet, Toby Carvery Aldenham 3 Hairspring Lane, Watford,

With John Howard RIP, the members who have passed away comes to 28 since 2009.

We also have the Alan Jay memorial meet at the Clandon car show each year which John Howard was responsible for setting up. At this years meet, it was agreed to re-name the meet as the Alan Jay & John Howard Memorial Meet in recognition of Johns passing.

Thanks Bob for posting up the photos for those of us who were not able to attend today. A sad day for sure and a hot day. Everyone looked nicely dressed for the funeral and did John proud.
