They are welcome in the mirrors anytime but I'm not a huge fan of spiders so don't really want a beast webbing down in front of me as I'm heading down the A1 at 70mph.

Sure they weren't a standard fitment, I've got them as well. Maybe its them that adjusts the mirrors

you guys worried about a spider in the car !!
We had a dugite snake up under the dash board of one of our cars!!
Needless to say we all sat very still until he decided to leave.
Also had to chase a snake out of our bedroom once as well.
That was fun !!
