There have been some issues with Firefox when downloading web pages containing Flash objects. I was regularly getting blue screens of death on my desktop but none on my laptop. I downloaded a Firefox add-on called Flashblock. This, as the name implies, by default blocks Flash content in web pages although you can choose to overide the block when you need to. Since I installed this, I haven't had a single bsd. Web pages tend to load quicker as well because you're not downloading someone's fancy adverts.

I can’t even get as far as downloading Add-on’s Peter, the computer crashes on the first page before I enter anything.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling all to no avail! |

Can you open Firefox in safe mode? (Start-Programs-Mozilla Firefox-Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode) The safe mode bring up a prompt which enables you to disable all add-ons and reset to defaults. If this doesn't fix it, there are other good browsers around, such as Opera.
