Lakeland Meet Weekend
Saturday 19th August. (12 noon) Following discussion with John, it has been decided to have an afternoon meet-up at Brantwood House on the east shore of Coniston Water. (www.brantwood.org.uk/) . The house is open to the public, decorated and furnished in the style of the late 19th C. There are also extensive cultivated gardens stretching down to the jetty where you can take the Coniston Launch for a trip round the lake. The restaurant overlooks the lake to Coniston and, weather permitting, lunch can be taken outside on the terrace. Add name(s) if you are interested in joining us. __________________ Many thanks to Brian [Freebyrd] for posting the above venue on the Saturday in conjunction with our Lakeland Motor Museum Meet Sunday 20th August, very much appreciated indeed. Brantwood House is an ideal venue set in superb Lakeland scenery around beautiful Coniston with the opportunity for some stunning photography for our cars. Therefor, may we take the opportunity to ask if any more members would be interested in making a weekend of it,in excellent company, stunning scenery & great photo shoot opportunities, hope the weather will be kind to us. As said, many thanks to Brian for all his help & input with this & hoping we may have tempted as many as possible to attend. Many Thanks Everyone.....Brian,Jan & John.
