check your sunroof drain pipes, guys. they leak where they exit, next to the big rubber electrical grommets, through the bulkhead...

Had that exact problem with mine, flooding through the ridiculous joint at the bulkhead. Finally modded that using hose connectors, but then the water in the drain pipes built up right into the sunroof itself & started to drip down from the roof! Had a waterfall all over me (and a very wet seat) one day after a particularly bad downpour. Solved the problem by cutting off the ducks-bill type end of the drainage grommet underneath each wheel arch. |

Water can also leak in through side chrome strips and rear screen fixing clips.
There are lots of fix it threads on here. Ken. |

Had this on mine, but on the passenger side and it was the windscreen scuttle clips that were letting in water.

The problem with leaks is that you only see the water where it collects. It could be getting in at at point above this. Talcum powder is great for identifying leaks. Sprinkle it around the areas that you think are culprits. Once it's rained, it will show you the route that the water is taking.

Flippin cars. How can they be so good at collecting water?
Bilge pump is not such a bad idea! Mines flooded front to rear on the driver side. Sealed rear lights to I'll have to get the carpet out and see what I can see. Urgh!!! |
