From what picky says the unit does not have a mute wire for a none blue tooth phone such as mine (Nokia 6210) which sits in a Cark 91.

Can you explain when you say the head unit would automatically change to BT

thanks.

Hi, I've been following this thread with interest for ages whilst waiting for to pick up my new (to me) ZT T, the latest link for it http://www.dvdplayer.com.cn/products_view.php?VID=217
gives the email address as [email protected] . Also on the page it says there is a connection for 6cd changer, bluetooth phone book and TMC, however I just got this reply to a query from Cathy:

Subject: Re HL-8733GB
Hi,
I have been following the progress of the HL-8733GB unit on the MG-Rover forum and am very interested in purchasing one could you please answer the following questions? =>for DVD Player cost: 360$
1. Your web page http://www.dvdplayer.com.cn/products_view.php?VID=217 says the current unit is compatible with the 6 CD changer, does this include the Kenwood type?=>not yet
2. It also says the bluetooth function now has a phone book is this correct =>bluetooth, GPS is ok, not has phone book function, if the quatitiy is big , our factory can develop it.
3.Is the TMC actually available now, and if so what is the cost?=> The TMC actually not available, there is a module which still in developping, TMC function will built into the DVD, cost: 45$, Also there is DVB-T digital TV which with it , the TV is more clearly, cost: 45$ which is set you car by you like, not built into the dvd player.
4. What would be the cost including delivery etc, for one unit with Igo8 & TMC, payed through PayPal, => GPS igo8 map is OK, cost: 10$, paypal is OK, handling fees is 35$
So it looks like the total cost without TMC is $405 dollars, but she didn't actually quote for delivery so I am still none the wiser. Obviously they have plans to develope the unit further but when it will actually happen is anybody's guess!
I got really excited when I saw the web page but it seems nothing further has been developed yet, so I'll just have to wait
Graham.

Anyone know why it takes so long to sort out the RDS function for the unit ? Thought it would just be some kind of software upgrade patch, as opposed to 'splitting the atom'

i think it may be more than a patch, i think it may be a different type of motherboard

The RDS function requires a different tuner board that has a decoder chip to feed the display with text information.
