VIS motor tester?
Please can someone help me I seem to remember there being a club tester I could borrow to test my VIS motors, is one still available as I'm in desperate need? I'll pay postage.
Many thanks, Patrick |

There's a "retired" club member Ed Humphreys who lived in the Wembley area, don't know if he still does, even had a T4 at one stage.
Very helpful gent, went over and beyond in helping me when I had a problem, others might know his current whereabouts. Think he visits this FB forum: https://www.facebook.com/groups/42780535896/ Regards |

I've borrowed the club tester before when I had my V6. Had to pay the postage of course but that was it. I can't remember who it was that held it. Possibly Reebs? Try sending one of the moderators a PM in case they don't pick up on this thread.

Rover54 aka Ed, is a banned member. I speak with Ed most days. He does have a T4, but I am not sure if he is available for diagnostics or not. I know certain individuals took advantage of him and that put him off helping people out. |

Nice of you to pass on your tester and perhaps the OP can contact Peter. If I remember correctly, Ed when testing the VIS on my car with his T4, said inconclusive - perhaps the remote tester is a better option. Ed banned? Usually when I see an old post of his it says "retired" ? Didn't he actually jump before he was pushed? He certainly (plus remote T4 friend) helped me out when I was in a tight stop and I shall be forever grateful to the pair of them. Give him my best when you next talk to him and tell him the car with three identities is still running. Regards |
