I know of one person who took three months to do the job, you're pretty fast in that respect

Very Interesting,

I've tried to google Lates, using the Birmingham area, without any luck.

Can someone provide their details please.

Regards

Mike

Here they are: http://www.lates600.com/

As already said, Lates (and his mate Pete) know this job inside out. My last belt job with them took around 2 hours, and that included time for tea and photos of the job being done .

Mike ,

Look at this thread about Teflon's car. https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=221478

Leighton and Pete are top Guy's. Well worth the trip but only work on Rovers and MG's at weekends so maybe waiting list.

Peter.

Thats the way to do it. Plenty of moaning, and don’t forget the chocolate biscuits please.

5 hours seem resonable for a quote for this job. I think I used about 8-10 hours when I did mine, but I did a lot of extras back then + all the coffee breaks..

Now this is something, I was charged 1300 euro for it, and got offers from a different garage for 1800 euro. Next time I will come overseas to your country, I will have a holiday extra for the prices there.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Five hours was what i was hoping and, as a cash job at even £50 per hour (hopefully less) that's (only) £250 labour plus the cost of the DMGRS kit I bought last year. Not too bad in the big scheme of things.

That what Teddy did! He travelled to us for the weekend, had the belts changed and enjoyed a few days away
