Beware of Member Rooney

As the title says beware of buying anything from member Rooney on here, i have been conned by him and he has £110 of my money. Last September he advertised an inlet manifold for sale, i offered to buy it and paid him immediately for it. Since then there have been numerous excuses as to why it has not been delivered, and offers to repay my money, the last communication from him was a text on 18th Dec that said "Hi Ray, please send your bank details. I will refund you before morning". I sent my bank details and received a text saying "Brilliant, thanks". Needless to say no refund has been made, texts are ignored and his phone goes to voicemail, leaving a voicemail is useless because he does not return calls.

His name is Gerard and if anyone knows his full name and address please send me a personal message so that i can commence legal action against him, the £110 is not the problem, it's the fact that he has conned me and his actions make me wary of buying anything from this forum where i am sure the vast majority of people are genuine

Could be the same person who dwelled on the club some time back, SI..........

Before anyone goes naming and shaming, there may (or may not) be genuine reasons for a lack of contact.

Have you come to a moderator with this to see if we can make contact for you? That really should be anyone's first port of call, apologies if you have and it hasn't produced results.

I will contact him on your behalf and see if we can't get this resolved. But I do detest these sorts of threads that can very quickly become witch hunts from contributors who have had no experience or first hand dealings with the folk concerned.

I will PM you with any information I may glean, but for now I'm going to nip this one in the bud.
