Default Nearly a fireman

My daughter has her fireman's passing out parade next week.

no matter uni degree, top wage earner, minimum wage earner, school drop out, surgeon, cleaner it would be nice if all parents could be proud of their children

Well done to your daughter; when did she first decide that this was the job for her?

Well done to your daughter. I have an Army Capatain, a special needs teacher, a coach driver and an off the grid drop out that lives on a boat. Proud, oh yes.

not sure, some time last year, but is it the job for her? How knows, only time will tell.
she left uni as a phisotheripest and enjoyed some of the work but hated the slow work and left to join the ambulance service. she carried on part time as a phisyo at anther hospital and said if she had started there she may have stayed full time in the profession.

She loved the work and those she worked with in the paramedic service
but found the management attitude to be poor.
You will struggle with this, she was made to stand in the corner of the classroom for using her laptop to take notes.

A sealed medical bag had items missing when she or her partner opened it on a shout. They reported it and can you guess? yep they got into trouble for not opening it and checking it at the beginning of the shift. Someone had taken stuff out and then resealed the kit. Her argument is that it was a sealed kit, you don't break the seal!

Shift patterns, she only got her shift pattern a few weeks before she started making it hard to plan. Her shifts were not the same as the previous shift.

She aims high with her performance.

I hope the sitting around for a shout will not bore her, I know she wanted to go to a busy station.

Well done to her. It's a very valiant profession, whether she ends up 'manning' the pumps or working in fire prevention.
