The control button isn't used for initial connection. You just ask your phone to search for Bluetooth devices and then connect to the unit. You will then be asked for passcode which is 0000 if I remember correctly.
When somebody phones you press the button to answer or hang up so I would follow Greeners and my set up and run the cables to front of car for the power to connect to the Nokia box.
The unit you have bought is the 17 pin connector which plugs into the radio in the boot.
Mine would have been set up the same way but was initially installed when I had the lo line nav which has now been changed to the highline set up after kit was fitted and already had an older telemute relay box fitted into the wiring

Make sure your Autolads has the correct plug.....there are two

One for the older 91 car kit which I think was black, and the ck7w should be white.....

And if it has the wrong connector you can either splice and connect into the one that came with the Nokia kit or buy the convertor

Thanks lads I have the adapter lead from black to white to the power connection ,no problem as long as the autolead is the correct one I think we have cracked it,regarding the button I think you will find once set with the passcode as long as its connected it does not matter where it is if you use autoconnect, which is the way I have it connected on my 75 Saloon, yes you cannot use it to answer if its in the boot or to turn the volume up or down but these car a so sweet you do not need to much volume, which if left on full can be controlled by your phones volume.
Let you know if I need another session if I have ordered wrong cable.
Mal

Hi Mal, sorry if I confused you a tad back there...

The sot 060 will work if you have ISO connectors already on the CK7W as the kit is very similer to Les' kit some of us have just installed...

But certainly go with those that have been sugested by members that use the CK7W kit...

But I agree with Greeners... Don't mount it in the boot...

Regards....

Default ck7w

hi
fitted cable, does not mute radio, everything seems to work except mute, connects to phone no problem.
you mentioned the yellow mute lead and i thiink you said it has to connect to number 4 lead on the plug into the radio, does this mean you cut the yellow lead that comes from little plug that goes into plug extend it and connect it into number 4 on the radio plug, and just tape up the yellow lead at the little plug end that has been cut.
