I'm local so if you have any specific questions please feel free to PM. The tourism website is pretty good, www.jersey.com. It all depends on what you like doing and the level of accommodation you are looking for.

That's enough of that, if I think of that too much I'll start to cry.

We,ve been, and we did the seabed walk, kids absolutely loved it,
We found the island was like a bit of heaven, everyone was so polite , we didnt hear anyone swear the whole week we were there,
Taxi driver told us tourists that hire cars are given automatic right of way,as they dont know the roads , she saw a car with a H on it,and stopped for them, and then explained why,
Also food in supermarkets are a bit dearer ,than mainland but given how the food gets there, its understandable,
We would definately go back ,

Don't assume everyone will automatically give way to horror "H" cars! But that reminds me to say that we have a "filter in turn" system on most roundabouts where you do not automatically give way to the right but take turns so once again do not assume right of way just because you are approaching from the right. A lot of H cars almost fall foul of this. Supermarket food is now a lot more expensive than the UK and many outlets do not reduce prices by UK VAT amount so clothing bargains do not really exist. Perfume and jewelry are cheaper but alcohol is often cheaper in the UK.

I was at Lowestoft, the day one had an engine failure and dropped into the shallow water!

I'll bet the pilot didn't ask for salt on his fish and chips!

One engine and no forward momentum = high risk.

Seen them hover hundreds of times and thankfully no accidents.A real crowd pleaser and show stopper.Particularly when they do this

A quaint way of putting it lol. Pilot error I think and he went on to fly again and promotion. How times have changed, earlier this year a pilot was sacked and given a suspended prison sentence for an error which did not result in the loss of an airframe, which is just as well given that it was carrying ~ 200 people.
