Thanks,
I've got to have a go at make a "mini-me" version of my ZT!

I think you've made a cracking job on your model!
I've done a few " replica's " of my Mini in the past, but hadn't a clue there was ever a model of the 75 / ZT produced.

I actually have a collection of nearly all of my cars, just struggling to get a mark 2 Toyota Camry

Below are a few I had recently had downstairs (the faux grid spokes came from solido 7 series - they are as close as I could find)

Cool

I’ve built and modified model cars/vans/trucks all my life. So doing the ZT was going to be easy, or so I thought. Age and arthritis along with this viral bug has shown me not so.
I’ll post up some of my conversion work if anyone is interested.

Bob, have you tried paint on masking? I have read it is quite handy and effective. Something I had never heard of until a few years ago when I look ed painting one of 'my cars'.

This one is my prototype and I'll have to start again. Other than the number plates it is finished.

1-The base plate was a pig to get back on. Not happy with the lines on the roof.
2-With the Trophy Yellow version.
3-On the kitchen work surface.
4-Lower Grill still to be painted, the upper grills will have to stay Yellow as I'm not able to hold the brush steady enough to apply.
5-Under the logo.
Nice job Bob........love it
Have you heard of Molotow paint pens?
I’ve started using these on my custom Hot Wheels and Matchbox Minis which are a lot smaller scale. Find them really easy to use on lights, badges etc. Come in a good range of colours including chrome, which is great for headlamps and fog lamps

Here’s a couple of Hot Wheels vans that I’ve repainted and added decals too. The headlights were done with the chrome pen and the indicators with the orange pen in the link.
Hope this helps Bob

Used to use it but with the demise of model shops finding the stuff is difficult but I’ll look on eBay in future.

Cool

Looks like someone likes my conversion on the ZT. So now that’s two orders to complete. And they want them as the Flying Banana.

I’ve ordered the pens and the masking stuff. Many thanks for the advice.
