Default Front windscreen replacement

National windscreens has no bother with sourcing a windscreen for the tourer.
Another job ticked off the list.
Even booked an mot for tomorrow, even though the yolk hasn’t had much of a run out this year.

they did mine a few years ago, apparently having one in stock (with auto dip mirror) in Belfast, allowing them to offer to fit at my work the following week, or for me to come to their place just off the M1 in Belfast that weekend. The guy told me they tended to keep at least one of them in stock at that time.

Aye, they had stock in Newry, (with auto dim mirror) and came out to fit at home.
I’ve just checked…I’ve done the paltry sum of 367 miles in the tourer this year..🙄.
Strangely, even though a lot of cars have been off the road or on minimal mileage throughout the whole Pandemic/lockdown, the fitter said they’ve never been busier fitting windscreens.🤔

Well MOT kinda went as expected, as I just booked it in as a check exercise.
Failed on
- OSR lower arm, corroded.
- 2 rear sills corroded (which looked ok until MOT man took out his pointy tool to poke holes in them &#128580,
- OSF strut incorrectly fitted (by previous owner but never picked up on before).
Now in the process of gathering the bits up.😃

I know up in sunny Scotland four years ago there was a well known windscreen fitting company removing front screens with rain sensors from breakers yards.
