Are you telling me because the engine management system in you car has been fooled into "firing" the petrol injectors into an "emulator", that the LPG ECU is making all the decisions normally undertaken by the petrol ECM.
This isn't the case and injectors apart, the petrol ECM is making decisions affecting the running of the engine, including attempting to make alterations to the fuelling, and ignition timing.
So what happens with the LPG engine tune, timing is altered to suit the higher octane rating of LPG for a start, among lot's of other "finessing" of the various parameters that affect day to day running.
And that's regardless of which front end kit is fitted to the car.

Hi Brian,
My ZT is fine, just trying to find out more info on the lpg option.
So do you think my ZT uses this option, as i was fitted then new?
Also cars with the lpg engine tune, is there still the normal petrol tune as well?

No idea, depends upon how diligently your car was treated at PDI.
As all of the "factory" lpg systems were retrofitted, it would have been down to the supplying dealer to set the required options.
Also the LPG car would expect to spend the greatest majority of it's time running on LPG, the compromise in the tune would be biased toward LPG rather than petrol, as both tunes cannot be loaded onto the ECM simultaneously
T4 time I'd say
Brian

If it is a 2, it is LPG enabled ( or if also fitted with headlamp wash, 6 )

Well i know my 190 was ordered from the dealer with lpg and it went from the factory to Ecogas systems ltd (who were Landi Renzos 1 and only UK agent) and then onto the dealer for its new/1st owner, so theres a good chance its had the lpg tune done by T4, maybe.

Would this lpg tune benefit performance for 99 ron fuel? as I only stick v power in mine and wouldn't mind having a fiddle and seeing if the timing adjustments release more power.
