Default Question for Marinabrian

Hiya. Quick question if you would be so kind.
Purely hypothetical of course.

If I happened to own a genuine T4 set up for LandRover, could it run a DST0006 disc and work with a TF?

I am a bit rusty now. .
I seem to remember the core software being different.
Could be totally wrong of course

Cheers

You would need to uninstall RDS6.00 or RDS7.06 and install RDS5.06 Stu.

You can run Land Rover diagnostics using RDS5,06, however not the other way around.

If the Land Rover setup is being used with WDS for post 2007 LR cars, then that ability will be lost when using RDS 5.06

If it's a dealer, I would suggest a cheap laptop set up for use with Rover cars, for as and when required

Cheers Brian, I thought that was the case but like I said, a bit rusty

So nice to see so many T4 reactions on this forum! There are several Rover forums with questions about T4 but most of them are a dead end. This forum seems to be the place to be.

I have got a working Land Rover T4 setup and willing to make a dedicated Rover T4 unit using a windows XP computer to keep the Rovers alive and be able to diagnose my own classic Mini (which is fine at the moment).

My question is if there is someone able and willing to help me to obtain the software. I have found some disks but they are German or French, as I am located in the Netherlands I prefer Dutch but English will certainly be much appreciated.

Hoping somebody can help me pointing me to the right direction, person, website, etc.

Nice, didn't thought you would have got the Dutch software! I had already agreed for my self to work in English, but this is even better. Take your time!

I think I know the answer already but I still dare to ask it (sorry). Working in XP you can have more users that can use the computer with there own settings. Would it be so simple to setup one user with Rover T4 software and another user with Land Rover software?

I would say, a dual boot system I the way to go but it would be a bit easier.
