False temperature reading
Had the radiator fan replaced the other day (not before two hose pipes burst!!) and now I find the outside temperature guage temperamental. Is there a reason for this can anyone tell me?

Yes Don. The exterior temperature sensor is mounted low down inside the front bumper moulding. This moulding has to be removed for access to the fan. The most likely explanation is that whoever did the work for you was somewhat heavy handed and has damaged the sensor or its wiring.

When the sensor is disconnected then reconnected it defaults to -30 and can take a few days to start giving sensible readings again.
