Default cooling fan

Hi all
I have seen various posts re cooling fans so sorry if the question has already ben asked, if so I cant find it.
My 2003 Diesel 75's cooling fan doesn't work. I've noticed the air con making funny noises also. I can't see any resistors so think its an early one. The question is do I need a new fan and if so where can one be obtained?

Are you DIY minded Stephen? All your fan motor needs is some new brushes. A full set, specifically made for the 75/ZT, can be obtained from Engineering Carbon Products Ltd. in Croydon for about £40.

Replacing it will be much more expensive than that. Any aftermarket fan will need to be patched into your existing control box. Alternatively you could look for a second-hand resistor unit on eBay but it must (1) be from a diesel and (2) have a "gold" resistor, not a "silver" one.
