I am hopeful that if I get the all clear to have the surgery, that I won't have to hang around too long. Everything is getting to be a struggle and I don't want to go on like that anymore. There has to be something better. Jessica is busy, redecorating and doing her own thing

How is Ivy doing?
Hi Phil,

We are all rooting for you and with all the effort you've put in to improve the circulation in your legs I'm pretty sure it will pay off and you will get that operation and get back to leading your life the way you want to lead it.

Hope Jessica is making a good job of the decorating

Ros and I went to the hospital Wednesday evening and she was discharged later that evening and is now back at the home thankfully.
It's a long story which I will tell you when I speak to you but we were not happy with the standard of care she was given at Colchester General Hospital and a complaint has been made.

Seeing what we did it's no wonder that the hospital is in special measures

I'm sure there any many people who get the best of treatment there but this needs to be across the boards and in all departments.

Anyhow, she is home and hopefully she will start to feel better and have some comfort and dignity .

Time for bed now for me, going to hopefully get a bacon baguette in the morning

Thanks Jeff, wise words from you. I have been pushing myself too hard, but can't quite cross the winning line on my own. I hope the surgeon can help me get there. I was disappointed to hear that Ivy came down with a urinary tract infection and was dehydrated in hospital. She deserved better. Thankfully, Ros and yourself have done her well, discharged to the home. Catch up soon.

Bring back the matrons with the same discipline and authority that they used to have. That would go a long way in sorting some of the problems out.

Morning, not as bad this morning as I thought it might be, dry, bit breezy and cool though.

Long lies seem to be a thing of the last with Poppy around! She slept well last night, now thundering around at 100mph!
