CDTI thermostat change
Spent six hours yesterday replacing my thermostat before the weather got any colder, it now gets up to temp in a few miles so ready for winter.
Bit fiddly but not as bad as it looks. Having an E8 socket in 1/4" drive would have helped. |

Good work. Didnt realise it was such a long job. I went the easy route and installed an inline stat. Will do the OE one on the spring.

I done mine last year didn't take that long but I had done some before.
But to me it's well worth the few hours. |

I agree it is not that big a job, after doing mine I reckon I could easily do it again in under 2 hours and faster still if I used my air tools.
It only looks daunting because you can hardly see it when you look for it, I was out this morning and just did a quick check on the temp - smack on 90 degrees. Taking your time with it and having coffee or a smoke if your into that it's probably an afternoons work. Glad you sorted it. |
