Default Early 75 Boot badge

I am looking for a badge for my boot lid (just the insert). It is the earlier one where the badge is separately on the boot lid and not part of the chrome strip, maybe the actual insert is the same? I can only see later ones available on Ebay? Are they all the same? I have this on the Rimmer website (Item is no longer available from Rimmer)- The earlier larger badge was part number DAB101431 and was fitted up to VIN 1D217812 and was mounted onto the trunk lid separately to the chrome strip. So, it looks like I am looking for the earlier larger one. My Vin No is earlier than 1D217812.

Is your badge faded or missing ? I faded there's a way to make it like new again.

First mask the chrome off around it. Then using T Cut rub the top gel surface of the badge. after doing this for a little while on the whole thing clean it off.

Make sure its clean and all gone. Remove the masking and remask if you have to.

Now spray a few coats of clear bodyshop lacquer over the gel badge. i usually put 2 or 3 coats on. Leave a few days to harden.

You can polish it up to make it even better.

Ive done this to all 4 of our Cowley built 75s. It changes the look of them!
