where to put axle stands on the rear
Hi all I need to renew my rear shocks and also one upper suspension arm and would like some advice on where to put the axle stands, the car is now off the road so I am planning on soaking the bolts over a few days and just keeping it jacked up on the stands. So where would you recommend placing the axle stands to get it up in the air for a while ?
Thanks

It's a good question for which I've yet to find a truely satisfactory (safe) answer: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...ad.php?t=35051 But I'm probably more cautious than necessary. TC |

which ever end I want to remove the wheels from is the end I start with. I learnt the hard way! my axle stands each have a shaped block of wood to fit inside the "Y" and the jacking pads sit on this wood macafee2 |

When jacking up the rear of the car worth checking the steering lock is on - you don't want the car slewing off the jack if anything slips.

For my two-pennyworth, plan your lift as you should "break" the road wheel bolts whilst on the ground.
