Default Failed MOT

Took Rovey in for her MOT this morning but unfortunately she failed on a few things.....Front lower suspension ball joint, CV gaiters/boots split and Handbrake not coming up to scratch.

Booked it in for Friday next week, should be a couple of hours labour apparently depending on what is wrong with the handbrake.

I do trust the garage as it is owned by my father's best mate's son-in-law and we use them for MOTs every year.

Gutted though just before Christmas - especially as I have road tax and insurance due at the end of the month.

Pete

That's a shame. Not too serious I hope, but as you say, not the best of timing. At least you can trust the repairers, so you know you wont be ripped off.

Bad Luck on that, most quite straight forward.
Hand brakes can be a Pain on Our Cars.
Might be adjustment or might even be the Handbrake shoes.
SMC had some of these recently at a very good pricer if required.

Hope it's all sorted and you get a clean bill of health from the MOT inspectorate.

£217 - works out at £4 a week for the next year, which makes it sound more palatable.
