For sure, but George writes up a lot of human interest stories for discussion. As a mod he would not be able to do this. He certainly has experience to carry him through. I have never heard him use any profanity

Finally managed to replace daughter-in-law's Citroen Picasso disks and pads - what a job

Two large torx bolts to get the back half of the calipers off - no chance with a socket set and a wrecker bar on the torx bit - so resorted to molegrips on the bolt heads and a lump hammer - which worked eventually. Also one rounded off bolt on the outer caliper - good job I kept my old AF spanners, as I managed to hammer a 1/2"AF onto a 13mm bolt head - success again.
Opened the boxes of new bits from ECP - immediately obvious that the pads were totally the wrong shape to fit in the calipers. As ECP are 12 miles away, sent my son down to the local factors and he got a set of new, correct ones off the shelf.
Then the disks - right number of holes, in the right place - super - until we discovered that the offset of the disk from the hubs varied by about 5mm - so wrong disks too
By this time, the skies have opened and it's hammering it down - and I'm working under a brolly. Son traipses off to the local motor factors again - success - they've got the exact disks in stock. At last, despite the pouring rain, the first side went back together - and for the second side, didn't even try the Torx bit - just went straight down the molegrips and lump hammer route. Finally finished - all tools sopping wet - me even wetter, and son wetter still ' cos he was holding the brolly over me

Going for a snooze in the armchair now - need to recover so I can go out for a few ciders tonight

You deserve a nice "Break" in your "Pad" after your sterling work, just make sure you do not slip a "Disc".

Welcome back mate - I can't think of how to get "caliper" into a sentence
I won't be far behind you - you're heading off on the 1st June - we go Monday morning the 6th - my muscles and joints might just about have recovered from today's exertions by then
