On the other hand .............
Please folks BUY SOME of these rubbish items mentioned in the 1st link and then use the eBay returns system. The return postage will cost the seller dear so if enough of you do this the seller will soon stop selling these. Ebay is superb these days for the protection of buyers and returns are applied for with one click. I return many items which don't live up to my expectations. These cheap importers need to be taught a lesson that we are fed up with poor quality items. The other rubbish undertray seller is from Poland item no 191071128618 Please order some of these too and then return them. It will cost you nothing as ebay fully refund you and bill the seller for return costs ! Please PM me when you've done this so I can monitor my little protest 👍

Well mine's a diesel, so it would have to be already well on fire for the undertray to catch fire. Unless vapourised, diesel is no-where near as flammable as petrol and certainly not explosive. Perhaps the cheap ones only fit diesels properly, or perhaps there's Euro-cheap, and then there's Chinese-cheap!

So far, so good, including the hottest summer in years. FBH doesn't work - yet. I thought the company that made the proper ones had run out of old stock, and wouldn't make any more unless they got a bulk order?

I just wanted to get one quickly to keep the worst of winter off the underside during my motorway commute. As I said, mine fits fine, and I am not so worried about a non-visible, non mechanical/electrical part. Maybe I was lucky, but I bought it from the same supplier as the replacement for my Audi's, which was wrecked when I hit a roadworks cone in the wrong place, which also fitted fine. The Webasto's exhaust temperature is max 150C, flashpoint of PE is 340C+. I would be more worried about a dashboard/electrical fire - it's smoke in confined spaces that is the real killer. I have an old Audi plastic engine cover. It is made of a composite of PP,PE and PA. If they had to be truly non-flammable, it would be uPVC.
