Ah, there lies a problem, this is the only bolt of it's type on the engine. It is fitted into a threaded recess from the transmission into the sump using an Allen Key. Luckily there was no evidence of leakage due to it having been missing.

It may be a Torx fitting. I have found something on the Rimmers site but the dimensions are not shown, part number TRF000050, but it's not available.
Thank you all for comments.

Can you identify it on Rimmer's drawings Fred?

With a new bolt hard to find and the chance of somebody having a bolt of this type just lying around, the search seems to be directing itself towards the nearest car breakers with an R75 or two in stock.---

Hello Fred,

If Rimmer's can't supply, despite their website, as a keen DIYer I'm sure that you have a stock of odd nuts and bolts. Using one of those you should be able to determine the size you need. If not, I'm not far from Hayes so I may be able to assist. Send me a PM if interested.

Ahaa. A bit of mystery and intrigue has entered the thread. Not for the dissertation of us mere members.----

Thanks Simon. As spotted by others, there is a bolt shown though not clear as to fixing.

I do now have a contact number of someone who has knowledge of these, and if I get a suitable reply I will post it here.

My thanks to all who have shown interest.
