It must be my eyes, it looks the same but it appears to be more at peace with the site's software.

Or maybe the hand of mod has intervened in changing it to https.

Well, I finally got to meet Rebel Dave Lordy once and the next time I hear from him, the Probe has gone, he has become a family man and looking to further extend his family

What has happened to the world!

Glad to hear things are going well for you Dave. Thoughts go out to Samantha, never easy to lose your parents but in the normal circle of life that is how it should be, however hard, never the other way around as it is for some.

Stay safe young un

If Lordy has not been aware of the site problems I'm sure he'll not make head nor tail of your posts.----

How's it going Dave hope your keeping well and still tinkering away with your machines.

Trust me Dave I'll always be a rebel at heart, not so much anymore and slightly tonned down can't have my nights out benders as much but still deep down that part of me will always be a part of me

My babe Sam says thank you for the condolences she's still hanging in there even tho its really on her family she's still going for the sake of the kids and I'm here every step of the way.

Hope too see you again next year for a other catch up and banter.

I get it now that the website had been a bit of a crash.

It still is Dave to some degree though your avvy is now innocent as were you yourself, lol. There wasn't a problem when http was the norm across the net, I too and many others will likely have historical posts containing http on the site. The problem arose when the net changed to https and some browsers and security suites began to flag up warnings against this site and others where http is detected. Some members could not log in to the site as a result and that might still be the case for some. Your avvy did present itself in http but that has since changed and it now presents in https and it no longer triggers the padlock and security warnings in the address bar near the top of a browser. Your avvy was not the only source of an easily correctable http problem on the site, some members still use it for reasons known only to themselves even though some of them must know by now of the problems it causes for other members and the site itself.

I was being generous to the site in suggesting that the hand of mod might have intervened in changing your avvy to https. More likely the case is that the pic used in your avvy is hosted on a platform which has since adopted https - unless you changed it yourself which is very easy for any member to do in their own profile.
