Default International Rover Meeting Linz Austria 2014

The Club has received the following request to let you know of this event.

Dear Rover Friends!

2014 is a very special year for the Rover Club Austria. Besides the jubilee of 100 years of Rover cars, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our Club. For that reason, we invite you to the International Rover Meeting Linz upon Danube 6 - 8 June 2014.

Enclosed we send you the invitations and registration forms for that surely very nice event. We’d be pleased to welcome as many members as possible of your club in Upper Austria.

We kindly ask you to forward these invitations and registration forms to your members and to publish them on your websites. With separate mail you will receive printed invitations for all those who have no internet access.
Please note the closing date of January 7th 2014.

We are looking forward to a reunion in Linz!

Well on two counts....

1 This is the dedicated forum for events (etc) outside of the UK.

2 In the General forum it may be very well be "buried" in a day or so, whereas here it stays on the top page of the forum for longer....

I have copied this to the Events and meets with a link back to here

Smile What an opportunity!!

Wow!!
What an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow Rover enthusiasts and enjoy a wonderful country.
Take a few extra days or more and discover the delights of places en route such as Munich, Mittenwald, Innsbruck, Salzberg, the Salzkammergut Lake District, and then onto Linz. And after the Meeting concludes, if time allows, a visit to Vienna will not disappoint.

Don’t be deterred by the distances as the autobahns allow you to travel at high speed – they say the 760 odd miles between London and Innsbruck can comfortably be covered in about 12 hours.- if times haven't changed since my journeys

Whilst my sister was working in the U.K.; we made a long-weekend (three days) visit to see the Spanish Riding School (in Vienna) “one more time” – and to see sights along the way.

Don’t be deterred by the trip being a new experience. My sister’s fellow teachers declined our offer to join us, with comments such as “never been abroad” “it is a long way”. Perhaps it was also their fear of the unknown.

If you are in the position to join this Austrian Meeting, enroll now. There is only a couple of weeks before applications close - 7th. January, 2014.
You are bound to enjoy the venture. You can possibly detect that I fell in love with Austria. It has so many beautiful places and a great cultural diversity to enjoy.
