My last battery wasn't connected to the drain and both plugs were out. The baseplate was badly corroded, so I took everything out, wire brushed and repainted all corroded areas with Hammerite, and am hoping this is a solution. All advice welcome though.
I havent come across these plugs, as any battery I have purchased before came without them (and when I used to sell them, sealed batteries were not common lol). I only commented as the bumph that came with my battery, was very 'insistent' on their removal, to the point of almost threatening death or injury if they were not removed lol.

I have seen images of the V8 and noticed the battery in the wheel well with the drain pipe fitted to vent outside the car. It would make sense to keep one blocked and t'other sealed to allow it to vent outside. Maybe there were two at some point? Perhaps someone can advise further?

Thanks for re-sizing my photos Simondi.
I’ll pay close attention to photos from Tapatalk next time. Tried downloading photos to my desktop from the iPhone and the photos app froze again so you rescued me!

When posting from my iPhone in Tapatalk, I just select the “mountain” icon to gain access to photos that I want to attach.. 2nd icon from the left at the bottom of the picture below....

When promoted, I select “medium” resolution.
Photo then gets inserted.
Can’t say if it displays at the same size as a mountain or not. Nobody’s ever told me off..😬😬

Lol.
Many thanks for posting that info. I missed the select resolution bit!
