Yes disgusting alright, there are two different rooms there, They refused the first room and were shown to another room which was equally as bad I don't know how on earth they thought those rooms were in any shape or form presentable.

I'm on power washer duty getting rid of the green mold on the greenhouse & driveway flags and blasting the gutters of the garage which are jam packed solid with silver birch catkins from the trees opposite.

I take it the place isn't looking for repeat business!

Other half and I are contemplating a trip to Mallaig, by train, we both have free rail travel. Been to Fort William a few times but never carried on along the 40 odd mile scenic line to Mallaig. Its do-able in a (longish) day, get 3 hours in Malliag but not sure if there's enough in Mallaig to occupy 3 hours, especially as we'd be taking the girls, they love going on the train!

LOL I hasten to add those prices include three meals/day & daily excursions on trains & coach tours.
They never got to use them as they turned on their heels & threw the room keys on the reception desk.

We went to Mallaig back in the late 1980's when we toured up there in our MKll Ford Granada & Caravan, We stopped at the Tummel valley holiday park, Stunning part of the world.

I think the only time I'll ever see that part of the world again will be on Train Simulator, They have the west highland line add on route from Fort William to Mallaig but I'm waiting for the sales to buy it.

The West Highland Line was never part of my territory when driving, that was covered by Glasgow Queen Street and Fort William although when I was a Driver Inspector myself and another Edinburgh based Inspector were trained on the RETB signalling system used up there . . . . we were never able to work out why

Good morning all, welcome to the day. How is everyone? Yesterday the 75 was taxed at £265. Insurance will be due in February. It’s a nice feeling, being legal to drive. I had thoughts of selling LJW, but after spending nearly £1500 in repairs over the past 3 months, I have decided to keep it for the time being.

Morning Phil, It's a cracking day here so I will be power washing the rest of the driveway flags (It's amazing how clean the place looks after blasting away the dirt & algae) and I've just put the battery maintainer on the Rover again.

I was going to give it a run out but it's hemmed in with all sorts of horse & stable paraphernalia

She gets to pick her new horse up from Scotland in two weeks time so I'll have the garage back to myself when she moves all this stuff out
