[QUOTE=HenryD;1676768]The A/C on my 75 is also noisy but working fine,I suspected bearings but yesterday had the system checked and re-gassed,although it was working it was low on gas and a refill has silenced the whine, now if I can stop the whining from the passenger seat it'll be all good !!!![/

Thanks for letting me know. I am pleased for you the A/
C is all systems go!

Used to love the way the overhead lights used to sparkle off it when driving through French tunnels.

The neat little plastic clip that Volvos have on the Right-hand A pillar for holding your parking ticket instead of leaving them lying on top of the dash

I think you will find they are a standard continental feature for holding Vignette's (temporary tax tickets) when moving across borders..

A toy for playing with that has almost been mentioned before - intermittent wiper with a manual variable delay as on the P6.

In my first car, my darling wife when she was 18. Magically, she was OEM in every car since.

Some find the elements distracting, but I never did.
Ford uses separate power supplies for left and right.
The elements are laminated into the glass, so not a doable DIY mod; you'd have to get a custom screen manufactured.
Where the heated screen wins out over A/C demister is in icy conditions.
Often in winter when I scrape the windscreen, it has refrozen by the time I'm a mile down the road and the engine is not yet warm enough.
This just doesn't happen with a heated screen.
MGR & BMW didn't have access to the technology, as Jaguar held the patents.
Ford co-opted the technology when they bought Jaguar and kept access to it when they offloaded to Tata.
The patent expires very soon, so I expect other manufacturers will jump on the bandwagon, but I can't see a retrofit market emerging
Resurrecting an old post I know, but I've only just read the whole thing.

Best solution to frosty mornings I've found, is one of these. 30 seconds to put it on, 30 seconds to take it off again. No more frost problems.

Oh yes, and I have manual wipers, therefore have the intermittent feature as standard. Just miss cruise control, 6th gear, autofold mirrors and a driver's cup holder. Nothing impossible to retrofit except 6th
