Default Alanjay Moonstone Tourer

Just spoken to Linda, Alan's sister who thanks you all for your messages of condolence. Because Alan lived in a rented flat there are time pressures to get his affairs in order, including the sale of his car. I have suggested they put it in Autotrader as most of us have our vehicles anyway. However somebody may be aware of someone who may be interested in this emerging Classic.

It was MOT'd end Oct 2016 at a cost of £400. Reg No BD02FXO Vehicle Check repairs on MOT History - GOV.UK
https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/
These are the details of it in Alan's Public Profile. 2002 Rover 75 Connie Hi-Line Tourer Moonstone 2.5 litre KV6 Auto 112K
Mods Changed faded badges and added two Union Flags under front side indicator repeaters. Nothing else needed for a "perfect car". I have located a picture of it at a Ruislip Lido meet 26th June 2016, see link below, go to last page post 51 then 10th picture down. Has nice Serpents, leather seats and may have wood and leather steering wheel.

When discussing the sale of the car with Alan he was hoping for £850. If anyone is interested then PM me and I can respond with Linda's mobile number.
Please do not use this thread to make disparaging remarks about Alan's vehicle, concerning it's condition or perceived value.
However, complimentary posts welcome.

Can I request the MODS do not redirect this thread to Cars for Sale.
Please discuss this with me first, prior to any proposed action.

Personally I'd stay away from Autotrader; their advertising prices are too high and for poor coverage IMO

Plus I've personally found I'm hammered with more dross via AT than any other sites used; which is a poor show!

eBay classified ad is only £14.99 for 30 days and with decent coverage
PH is c£10 IIRC
Gumtree and Pre-loved are free etc

Thank you Peter for everything you did to help Mike (Woof) and Alan. You have have also been helping me behind the scene with airport pick ups. The club is very lucky to have you. I had better not bump you up too much, or I will be in trouble

Another helpful man, was Alan. I don't know any funny stories about him, sorry. Except to say that he was well read and was an intellect. He could be quick witted and had his style of humour. Always courteous and a gent to the ladies at the car meets. He would happily help other members out who needed a car delivered or collected. Long distance was his speciality. His only charge was for fuel and expenses.

RIP

Alan and I had a long running joke about how many Torpedo badges I had on my cars.
