Yeah, I've not noticed any road usage decrease for this second "lockdown".

Empty shops will be turned into flats (to accommodate the increase in population).

The travelling community will be falling over themselves to get their vehicles fitted with the gizmo so they can contribute to the nations tax collection once road pricing is in force.

I'm glad I haven't got the job of trying to balance the books and use of the phrase "Poll Tax" is bound to send shivers down any politicians spine (if they can find one ).
Hi Andy. There is already a way of taxing electric vehicles. Put 10 pence on every kilowatt they use from the grid. Meter to be put in car and the charge for that will be £1000. They will not do that because they will not be able to con you into having a vehicle you can not drive half the time because there will not be enough electric generated. The English must be, or have become, the most gullible people on earth.People are moaning about having to stop in during this pandemic. You ainít seen nothing yet. I will be long gone, hopefully, but we will move into another Ďdark ageí. Talking tatters am i? Wait and see. Oh and donít forget with the extra weight of electric vehicles on the road (Batteries) there will be more potholes coming along. Oh the joys of technology. Moan over, but ment.

An even more effective way of taxing electric vehicles is through smart meters, soon to be in every dwelling in every part of UK.

A pointer: Who has lately tried to get a better energy deal? They all show a saving of at least £300 a year. But only if you install a smart meter. How soon before some clown a hundred miles away flips the switch up a notch or two.

They'll just go & steal another one (A road in London t'other day) You cant tell me this guy didn't know he was crashing into those parked cars!!!

I dare say it will be getting squeaky bum time in 5 years time! especially if the upcoming Euro Cat 7 goes through in it's present form. If people are to move to EV's and the traffic into petrol stations becomes less & less what will become of those places! they don't exactly make money selling petrol/diesel & if the cars don't come onto the forecourt to fuel up & use the shop they will be closing down unless they take out the pumps & replace them with fast chargers & a cafe.

What about the garages that service & maintain ICE vehicles! will they still be around in the numbers they are today!

Will they downsize because of the reduction in ICE numbers! or will they retrain their mechanics into EV technicians to work on BEV's!
