Default Your opinion

Ive owned my Connie CDTI SE for 13 years & thrown a fortune at her but as I approach retirement I'm looking to move on to something that does not involve trawling the scrapyards & internet to keep her on the road....
Ive always liked the look of the Saab 95 & the last model in my opinion is
a sleek looking cruiser which is fully loaded i do have one or two other cars i'm looking at but the Saab 95 is my first choice whats your opinion ...have any of you owned or driven one.

Sorry to be a downer but would you not be putting yourself in the same position with a brand that has gone belly up. Even though the cars share parts with other GM products but some will be unique to SAAB and will be hard to come by just like our cars.

You approach retirement but what's your age and income? No need to answer.
I am retired but I'm not 55 but as close as make almost no difference.
what do you need I the way of spare parts? I would be cautious to move from one out of production car to another. The main thing for your car is rust I suspect, protect from that and the rest I would have thought would not be a problem.
The Saab is not a bad car.

I personally would keep the Rover whilst it is passing mot's and is not breaking non wear and tear items

EXACTLY my thoughts!

I cannot really see any benefit by moving to a Saab

That little run-a-round would do the trick lol

Hi Maca..Ive just turned 60... its not the parts or the maintenance I do most of it myself with help from Marina Brian...Its more a time issue..Theres a few jobs need done...Nothing serious..to keep her in tip top condition & I would rather pass her on to someone who still has that sparkle & enthusiasm that I seem to have lost..The car is totally rust free

I've had a good few Accords... What shape you looking at?
They are rock solid and reliable and dont normally have many issues (depending on what year hence why i ask)

Saab's are amazing cars, i had a 2002 9-5 Aero HOT and it was one of the nicest cars i've ever owned.
Fully pollybushed
Coilovers
B204/B235 engine
TD04-20T turbo
650cc injectors
Evo 8 intercooler
loads of other bits and bobs and it was full heated/cooled leather with memory and electric, i had a double din android head unit in her and it had all the usual reverse camera, parking sensors, dimming mirror etc etc.

She ended up being 402bhp on a stock engine basically was an insane car and i miss it.
Jags, i've driven them and i dont like the feel of them, very numb... comfy and you can get older ones for very cheap.
But they do like to rot much like our MG/Rovers

Whats your budget? what about a Merc or an Audi? Galvanized bodies not much rust, lots of options open and they are very affordable.

I've owned lots of Saab's, really lovely cars - exactly the same issues as Rovers however in that the company no longer exists so
