Fitting an electric aerial
Has anyone fitted an electric aerial to their Rover 75 saloon? I have tried various permutations to get a decent signal from the heated window element on my 53 plate car with no result. This includes buying a new amplifier, trying a stick on aerial, trying a different radio and various other things. There is power to the amp.
I had a Rover 600 with an electric aerial mounted on the rear wing and that got good reception and I never had any problems with the aerial itself. In desperation I am seriously considering an electric aerial but am a little concerned that there might not be enough width on the rear wing and that the angle of the wing might be too steep. Has anyone taken this step? Thanks Paul |

I haven't, however I did find this for you - there's a selection of top trim pieces included so you should find one that's suitable.

Yes but I don't really want to disturb the headlining and I have always had excellent results form a traditional aerial. Some might say they are old fashioned but I quite like them

I had an amplified dab/fm sharkfin aerial fitted late last year.Reception is perfect on both, can't speak highly enough of it.As a bonus I think it modernises the appearance of the car.
