Default Advice on how to remove/fit windscreen

Picked up a stone chip yesterday.
I'm after advice on what items to get should I change the windscreen, what parts should be reusable and also how to remove a windscreen. I'll see if anyone does a fitting service.

Are all the windscreens the same shape even if a slight difference in colour?

I need to check my insurance to see what it says about windscreens.
mmm where's that link about heated windscreens

When I watched the heated windscreen being fitted to my 45, the fitter used a cheese wire type device to cut through the mastic bonding.

If you already have a new spare screen it may be better to have a professional remove the old and fit the new.

If it's just a chip, then look at having it repaired. Cheaper that a replacement screen.

I've had plenty of chips repaired in the past, and you really can't see the repair.

That reminds me, I must get a couple on my screen done
