Unhappy Speedo Stopped Working

Hi can anybody help me please I've got 2 problems....
1st problem I started ZT V6 this morning all fine then went to go out 1 hr later and when I started it the Wipers & Windows didn't work for about 1/2 mins then they started to work all fine untill I turn off and it does it again and sometimes the Handbrake light will stay on when Handbrake is offcan anybody help me Cheers....

2nd Problem I went to pick up my daughter and I hit a pothole and now the speedo won't work everything else does apart from Speedo I'm praying I've not done to much damage to either off the problems I have..Today has been a very bad day I hope there's someone that can Help Me Thank you

POTHOLE ?????---

Probably upset the wheel sensor.

I think you will be able to find some details in the HOW-TOs at the top of the page. You could also use the search feature up there too.---

The speedometer signal comes from the driver's side ABS sensor - the passenger side sensor supplies the signal for the cruise control if fitted.

If the lack of speedometer reading is due to ABS sensor failure you should get the ABS light on as well. Sometimes the ABS alarm is masked if it is on all the time to get the car through the MOT, so worth checking that the light comes on when the ignition is switched on as a self check, and if it does then disconnect one of the ABS sensors as a test - if it doesn't then come on it might have been rewired and piggy backed from another source.
