Default DRL led,s

Been trying to get my led strips to work as daylight running lights & wired them as another member has ie into fuse 4 & to earth. Lights work ok,but are always on & don,t go out after a few seconds.Every time i touched a fuse position, the lights were on ie, always live.Am i doing something wrong or have i missed something. Thanks in advance,Ronnie

Ronnie this is what I Did
1. Installed lights into bumper (doh!)

2. Fed earth from lights to earth at (See pic)

And

2. Ran live from Driverside light over the Radiator and spliced with the Live from the passanger side light which in turn is spliced to a single wire.

This is the fed to the Fuse box (Fuse number 4 Fan motor i belive)

Lights come on with the ignition and go off about 4 secs after engine is switched off)

Hope this helps mate.

Andy

I meant right as in "not wrong" but I realised it wouldn't matter anyway since it was a fuse, not a switch, so I was about to delete my post but you'd replied....

Default drl wireing

hi chaps had a thought about connecting your drl,s up it ,s a bit more complicated but you could buy a split charge relay the type used to charge a caravan battery,it has a feed from battery and alternater but it only sends power when alternater is running, this way once your engine is switched off out go the lights, please do check my idea out with someone who is more in the know but i think it should work, will be getting some myself soon when i get my pocket money of the wife, cheers.
