Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

Morning, dry but wild out there, very strong wind.

Feeling pretty cr@p this morning, didn't have a good night, very restless. Feel as if I haven't slept at all.

Another day clearing out my watchmaking cupboards! SWMBO will have loads of room for her "stuff" when I'm done! It's just too tiny for my old eyes and too delicate for my shakey hands!!!

I inherited a watch from my late uncle, a Tissot. Battery was dead so popped the back off, replaced the battery, runs great but can't for the life of me get the back to "pop" on again. Probably a two minute job with the right tools but there isn't a decent jewellers anywhere near me let alone one that does repairs in house.

Sometimes, the case backs go "belly in" if you push them in the middle (turning the edges too far outwards). Have a look and see. If that's the case, you can sometimes stand it on a cylinder and give it a gentle push/tap outwards (or a belt!) to change the angle of the seating area, to "snap" in. If that fails, you may need a proper case/crystal press to push it home evenly. Some of the Timpsons (shoe/key cutting/battery changing) places have good staff (generally older folks). I've recently sold my case press or I could have sorted it for you!

I've had a good sort out in the cupboard and have been Ebaying. Lots of "stuff" already gone and lots of watchers! Money for my junk! Who'd have thought it!
