Flat battery Radio??

Hi,
I have had a flat battery and my Radio has gone Kaput? I have tried Halfords and asked them to fit a new battery and reset my radio code? but they cannot do a Rover 75?? The radio imediatley showed a code on the screen but will not turn off or on? i have tried pushing buttons as described in the manual to no avail? can anyone please help?
