No likey for me. Think the boot is big enough. Could be used as child seats to make car into a 7 seater.

in india that wouldn't be illegal,a whole family can ride on a scooter over there with a baby in the basket on the front

Looking very nice, does seem odd that the correct fitting is to have the lip facing the rear windscreen!. All you need to do now is to find the Rover official luggage that fits it.

I think the lip is at the front because there's greater potential for a case to build up a little momentum under braking than under acceleration.

Now that makes some sort of sense - no offence meant at all LoH

- but in the event of its actually being used as fitted - and a case fell off - I suspect any injured party would make a good case that it was fitted "wrongly" - regardless of any instructions.

I like it a lot
You could always carry an extra spare wheel on it in a black vinyl cover, just like they used to on the boot lids of P6s
