Finished boxing up the ZT this morning, the results are a quiet operational heater, and a smooth light clutch

I should have known this as my first Rover V6 had shocking Brazilian tyres on it when bought and they made an awful row until I changed them! Now got to decide how to address the issue. Think I’ll swap the rear wheels over for a start !

Fired up the Tourer after it had rested since Christmas, while I used the ZT. Fired up first time after weeks
Radio and heater off so I could have a listen while I went to fill up ready for work few creaks and groans for the first couple of miles then by the end of a 6 mile run all quiet again. 70 miles on Monday 80 on Tuesday and 91 on Wednesday will be enjoyable |

Got it running after the radiator swap. Still not entirely sure what the problem was, but a weak battery wasn't helping matters.
Now got to work out what codes P0501 and P1590 relate to.... |

And, you've guessed it, I keep thinking I've got a rear wheel bearing on the way out. I was chatting to a work colleague just before Christmas who used to work for a tyre fitting company, he said the amount of issues he had with Avon tyres going " out of round ". I have checked my tyres and cant find anything wrong with them, I have checked the wheel bearings, the only check I can do, spin the wheel and listen, and I cant hear anything, no play in the hub etc. So, could it just be road noise? I'm not changing my tyres until they need replacing though!

Have you checked the DOT age of the tyres? https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=287661

Hi Steve,
No, I've not to be honest. I'll have a look later.
