Busy day today on the v6 Contemp saloon

Replaced and flushed the ATF
Cleaned up the brakes and pads and got the handbrake working
Replaced the plugs (no knuckles now)
Waxoyled the whole underneath parts after scrubbing off any surface rust
Painted the engine cover
Stuck on new grill badge.

Now its raining so I am glad I did not bother washing it!!

That sounds a nice little list to get all those jobs done, very productive Dave.

Today 2/5/15 yesterday as it as passed 12.00 pm I cleaned out the throttle body and the inlet air duct of the oil residue which can and will build up over time, I usually do this at least every 3 months it also helps to alleviate the oil getting to the the Vis motors through the manifold.

Few photo's below well worth doing along with keeping your oil level just below the max mark maybe just over half way will do cheers Arctic

good advice

weird these V6s. On one I get some of the watery mix gunge and the other just oil. I assume that its condensation of maybe slightly worn liners as there is no coolant loss and temp is super even on both.

I suspect if I showed that to a garage they would say it was HGF and condemn the car!!

Thanks to the awesome help of Championdaddy I finally managed to get a hold of the nuts and bolts (and donut thing) to screw down my engine cover in the correct way.
You can't really see it on the photo, but it already looks a lot better. Nice and straight.

I'm a happy camper .

(ignore the tape , the aluminium-oil-filler-cap-logo was crooked :P )

Pretty rare I think. I haven't heard/seen anybody else who did this "upgrade"/mod

The alloy filler cap? Or the engine cover?
