Hi Mick.
It maybe a good idea to get a owners to sign a disclaimer, for any help or work carried out on their cars, we do this at the Nano it is also widely known you allow this at your own risk.

Just my take on this. Primarily this meet will take the form of guidance for you to work on and learn about your own car and whilst there will be exceptions to this as we understand not everyone is, or can be hands on for various reasons, at the end of the day it's your car.
People should be there who have experience on working on these cars, they will not be there to do the job for you but more to assist and guide owners, knowing that the expertise is on hand to try to ensure all goes well. So, bring your tools, your knowledge, sense of humour and be prepared to help somebody else if you can.

Hi Mick, super idea, I'd definitely come along however I work most Saturdays so won't be able to make it. For those who are going and want something to make the trip to Hemswell even more worthwhile there is an excellent antique centre located at the old RAF Hemswell airfield (ex Flying suitcase - Hampden, Wellington and Lancaster bomber base). These places usually have a decent cafe too.

Default Thank you, sir.

A great set of pictures. I have had the right rear trim out and replaced the ECU. All the connections seem to be sound by using a meter. The most recent attempt to sort the problem involved a T4 at D and D Alferton. The system worked when connected to the T4 but would not when on car alone. I think the system had been disabled when the loud warning on reverse indicated a problem the previous owners were unwilling to fix. Hence looking for some advice on the easy ways to mute the system. I do not imagine the muting fix would have involved much work, fingers crosssed, might be able to un do it.

Anyway, thank you for your thoughts. A project that has taken days so far. maybe a camera?

Please let me know if you are interested.
