Default Help please, don't want to be the village idiot

Hi sirs,
can you please help me as I don't want to repetitively Annoy anyone.
I am just relearning how to upload pictures and resize them directly and to a third party (Imgur) and then to our club using a proper camera some times as well as the usual phone.
(After the photo Bucket fiasco)
With respect is there a Zombie sub forum or what ever its called on our club forum that people wont mind I can use.
I just want to check my own upload results without annoying anyone or them thinking Im the village Idiot.
Thanks Paul

Create your own test thread in the photography section. Don't forget you can edit and delete what you have posted. Only thing you can't delete is a thread you've started.

Thanks Steve, thanks and I will try that.

P.s thanks for responding to my original request thread about listing specialists and your stellar effort putting up T4 owners, how about none t4 specialist mechanical /electrical Doctors. I'm sure all your T4 owners are great . but I personally know some T4 owners who are mechanically/electrically lacking to say the least.

I don't use image hosting websites, as I don't like accumulating unnecessary subscriptions to services or giving them the copyrights to my pictures. An image editing program I use called paint.net is available for free from filehippo.com. After downloading this program, it's very easy to save images to your own hard drive, resize or otherwise edit them if necessary and upload them here.

Once you have downloaded and installed paint.net, navigate to where your image file is located (e.g. "Pictures").
Right-click on the one you want and select "Open With". Choose paint.net.
That's it! Your image will open in paint.net. There are different options you can use to make changes to it - for example, re-sizing so that the image doesn't extend off the screen when you upload it to the forum.

To re-size an image in paint.net:
1. First of all, since the program will automatically adjust a large image so that you can see it all in your program window, it may be useful to click on the View menu and select "Actual Size". This will let you see how large the image would be if you tried uploading it here without resizing.
2. If it turns out to be too big, click on the Image menu, then select "Resize". From the options that appear, the simplest one to use is "By percentage" as this automatically retains the dimensions of the image. Try entering different values - e.g. "70" will reduce your image to 70% of its original size, "25" will reduce it to 25% of its original size, etc.
3. If you want to keep two versions of your image, i.e. the original and the resized version, use File > Save As to save the newly edited version separately from the original by giving it a different filename. Otherwise, just click Save.

To upload the picture to this forum:
1. Click the Post Reply button as usual and then click the Attachments button above the reply box - it looks like a little paper clip and is located to the left of the Undo/Redo buttons, and to the right of the Smilies button.
2. This opens a small window - simply browse to the location of the relevant picture file on your computer, single-click on the one you want to upload and click "Open", then click "Upload". You can then repeat the process for up to four (or is it five?) pictures per post. Once you're done, just close the small window and click "Submit Reply".
3. If you then realise that the picture you've uploaded is too big or too small, you can edit your post to remove that version and upload a bigger or smaller version instead.

I also use Paint.net. It's a very powerful image manipulation application.

If you have Microsoft Windows why not use Paint to resize? Paint is one of the programs that Windows comes with. You can upload pictures direct from your pc to the forum.

There is a Technology section in this forum but where you have posted will draw help

It seems to me you're compositing the link/URL incorrectly to embed the full size photo. Your image can be seen full size by going to this link: https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...mg&imgid=25303

- but the linking steps must be wrong to embed it.

Trying a test:

- which worked.
