Good morning everyone

A grey and clouded start to the day. I have had to put my fleece on as it feels rather chilly. It’s supposed to warm up in the afternoon. I have just had breakfast and cleaned the pool. My next task is to mop the floor using a mop and bucket We are the only house in our small holding which does not have house maids. Doing most of the housework keeps me active and out of trouble.

Has anyone used a robotic floor cleaner? Over here, the electric floor polishers are called floor scrubbers. The robotic floor scrubbers are cheap, but are they any good?

Morning all - we've finally got a touch of sunshine today and it's a few degrees warmer too. After my haircut yesterday, (£17.50 in total for SWMBO and I, including a compulsory hair wash!) it's the garden's turn for a trim today. Despite a lack of sunshine, and some quite cool days, the pesky grass is still growing like crazy.

Phil - I could think of all sorts of comments about a floor scrubber - but I'm too much of a gentleman (and Angela is perilously close to the PC screen!)

I trust we're keeping a place at the table clear for a missing member?

Morning Rod, you did well for the both of you in having a wash, cut and blow dry at £17.50, a bargain Last time I was in Bristol in March, I was shocked at what our local barber was charging for a basic haircut at £19. I found a barber in Devizes and he cut my hair for £7. I imagine both of you are looking great with your haircuts.

I will be sitting down shortly with Jessica as it is lunchtime, our main meal of the day, as we are both on a diet. Nothing exciting to report On my next trip to be UK, I will be looking for a floor scrubber to bring back.

I was chatting to my younger brother yesterday and he was telling me how last week he was at his caravan at the camping site at Burnham On Sea and he is planning to go again next week. Good luck to him

Hi Phil - quite a number of caravan sites have re-opened, albeit under strict new rules. Limited, or in some cases NO 'facilities', using only half their pitches (to leave twice as much space between each) etc.. On-site offices, shops and tourist information 'huts' (usually a timber shed with all the local attractions leaflets on display) - nearly all of these are closed.
The Camping & Caravanning Club have a number of sites which, due to the difficulty of making them sterile, won't open at all in 2020.
Angela and I ? ....... we are keeping clear - not worth the risk of venturing out in the caravan, so we'll give up on 2020 and look forward to 2021.
Both of us, thanks to past medical histories are only one step away from being classed as at risk - and that one step is purely age. We're both 69 and the cut off for qualification has been 70; personally, I don't believe that the virus is so specific that it will infect a 70 year old with my medical history, but ignore me simply because I'm 69 and a bit

Cool

Evening Ian and fellow followers from sunny Cornwall. Been warm today, hit 27 degrees at one point. Cooler now at 23 degrees. Going to watch Masterchef, then I’ll get the garden watered. Having a nice cup of Rosie Lee for a change.

Zed is away to Scotland next week, I’ve only had him since last September.
