Like the idea of
a pocket hole jig.
My daughter just rang to say she wants to make a farmhouse table, new they are silly money. Found a video on you tube of someone making one but no description of the tools used. Looking at the comments someone mentioned pocket hole. No idea what it was but its for drilling into wood at an angle so you can then screw together. I have something similar for doing dowels also like the idea of this, a Planer Thicknesser https://www.mytoolshed.co.uk/metabo-...iABEgIrZfD_BwE macafee2 Last edited by macafee2; 20th October 2018 at 22:08.. |

A pocket hole is a fairly common technique for pulling two pieces of wood together. A hole is drilled at an ange and of size to take a wooden plug or a screw. You glue the two pieces together and hold/strengthen with the screw or plug in the pocket hole.
