Default Round Britain Rally 2011 - 10th Anniversary of the ZT/ZT-T

Evening all,

Just a quick post to get an idea if anyone would be interested in taking part in a Round Britain Rally similar to the one held for Rovers in 2009.

Would be very interested in thoughts and suggestions and also who would be interested in taking part.

Could be interesting...

How about loading up a map and drawing up potential routes, and members?

Hi Jake,

If you PM me your email address, I have a spreadsheet I can send to you which gives the route and times, changovers etc etc of the 2010 Round Britain Rally. It would give you a good idea of a possible route timings, mileage etc etc

are we talking a proper round britain run like Club Triumph organise (and I did in 2002) where cars leave London (area) on the Friday 6pm, reaching John O'Groats 6am Saturday for breakfast then head down lands End for 6am Sunday then back to the start point for 6pm Sunday. With a crew of 3 people we did it easily and raised money for M.S. that year

2000 miles in 48 hours. We had about 12-14 checkpoints that were only open for 1 hour dotted about the route. You had to get your routebook stamped at each one. It was not a race, but a reliability run

At this stage it's a case of what ideas are out there.

The Rover 75 RBR was arranged and I believe ran prior to me becoming an owner so I am unsure of how the previous event ran/was structured. I would like to tie this in with a meet or event in April/March time, but again, open to suggestions.

A major limitation will be those interested in taking part. If when it comes down to it, we only have say 5 members interested, then a route as suggested by Colintf may be more suitable than the around Britain option.
